Inspiring Educational and Heritage Dialogue

·         We want to use the structure of this dialogue and incorporate that into the symposium

·         Look at “dialogue links” and “local conversations”

·         Theme for symposium: How people with disabilities have to adapt and how we have to adapt to help them

·         Make an adaptabilities blog:

o   Group discussion guidelines

o   Assign them into groups based on their demographics

§  Ex. “do you have a disability?”

o   Activity notes:

§  Ex. “skip activity one if you do not have a disability”

o   Pre-registration required

§  Send them a form and get email replies

New FACTSnet Website Format

·         Alison and Alliah will make a 2013 Summer Working Blog to use as a prototype

·         Damian’s blog is our model blog: link

Start journaling on how things are going-Everyone should note what happens like:

·         Difficulty communicating with others-maybe a month later, how you resolved it

·         How we are developing personally

·         Keep this in your own journal (personal)

Letter to Schools

·         The letter is one letter. Includes all of our constituency’s networks

·         Make a post for letter to schools on hsummers

·         Will have Adaptabilities/Disabilities Network up in the future

·         On the letter where there is a blank for “FACTSnet Coordinator for _________”, put your constituency (ex. Brandon’s is FACTSnet Coordinator for Edmonton Centre)

·         When ready to send: tell Matt so he can send it (bcc-so that contact information for schools are not given out)
