Meeting Notes
           
Dave shows the new blog template: factsum.blogspot.ca
·         Older blog had a disorganized look
·         “About” drop down menu:
o   Should we have “about FACTSnet” and “about CIN”
o   Action Required (David and Alison): Under “about”
§  Have “general information”, “mission statement”, and “how this organization started (history of FACTSnet)”
o   CIN (collaborative information network) is for profit
§  It isn’t currently making money
§  We could have employees as FACTSnet consultants
·         How are we going to set up Damian’s blog (Adaptabilities/Disabilities Network)?
o   This will be how the FACTSnet blogs will be set up from now on
o   Action Required (Damian and Brandon): Coordinators tell Alison how you want the blog set up
o   All of the drop down menu items will stay the same


Poster
·         Action Required (Alison): We will add FACTSnet logo and interpretation service logo (NICA)

Emails
·         Action Required (Brandon): New email for employers that have Canada summer job to focus on “because you have students from Canada Summer Jobs”

Dialogue

·         focus: what do people with learning disabilities want…
(will be linked to the new blog for adaptabilities/disabilities)

Outline:
·         Ideally, 4 people per group: a summer employer, a student, a disabilities coordinator, a FACTS coordinator
·         Will be put into groups and identified by numbers

Activities:
 (have the first 2 activities as individual activities so everyone has an input)
1.      Who is in your group (What is your experience with working with disabilities in the work place)
2.      What do you think people would want (person and the employer)?
3.      Adaptabilities in the workplace

·         This is an initial conversation that will be on going
·         Brandon writes summary



Review of  last week’s Minutes

·         Action Required (Everyone): Comment about minutes on agenda for next week

FACTSnet Summer 2014 (this will be public for everyone to see)àAction Required: (Everyone)
·         2013 Summary
·         POST ON FACTSnet Summer 2014 OR EMAIL LINK TO ALISON
·         Action Required (Everyone): Create blank posts for where you will put all the posts that will transition employees for next year along with summary of our work for the public

o   Action Required (Everyone): create a journal of what you have done this summer
§  one post on what you did for your constituency
§  one post for what you did for FACTSnet
§  Brandon also post on being team leader

Plans for next year:

·         Each employee has 3 blogs
o   Professional blog
o   Constituency blog
o   Personal blog (can save it as a file and send it to David so he will have a copy of it but you can take the blog off so no one else sees it the next year)

·         Dave will use factsuma@gmail.com next year

·         Action Required (Mehmet): show Brandon how to archive all factsume@gmail.com emails to Seamonkey
·         Action Required (Everyone): If you’ve made contacts to other organizations, send them to Brandon to create a database
