June 12 Meeting Minutes

June 12 Meeting Minutes
FACTSnet Adaptabilities/Disabilities Symposium

-Date: Thursday, August 8th from 5:30-8PM
-No entrance fee
-Matt: will look into making a donation page for the event

-Format: We will have a presentation format for the first half and then break off into a few panel sessions
-Booking a venue: Jeannette has not replied yet but Alison and Brandon will stay in touch with her
-Main focus: to create awareness of what people with disabilities want. Sometimes we become too focused on what we think we forget that the ultimate goal should be what these individuals want, not what we want for them (though it is important to give them suggestions and direction also).
